Training in the Needs of Children with Autism Workshop

New York State Legislation enacted Chapter 143 of the laws of 2006 to amend Sections 3004(4) and (5) of the Education Law to require that all persons applying for a teaching certificate or license on or after February 2, 2007, as a special education teacher or as a school administrator, who works in special education, complete course work or training in the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

This training meets the new requirements for certified teachers and administrators in New York State and is designed to instruct professionals such as special educators and administrators.  Additionally, this training is also applicable for others interested in learning more about autism such as teacher assistants, aides and parents.

An online post-test is included at the end of the course, and is required to successfully complete the course. At least 15/20 correct answers are required to pass the post-test. You have three attempts to successfully complete the post-test. If all attempts are unsuccessful, you will have to pay again and retake the course.
